In 1993 the artists of "De Fabriek" in Eindhoven invited me to work for five weeks in De Fabriek. At the end of a working period in De Fabriek there is always a presentation. By then, most of the presentations in De Fabriek were during one evening and the next day.

I was there in the month November. In November there is a big difference between day and night. I was thinking about making something, which I can't take home afterwards. So I decided to make something that slowly disappears, and started in the evening when it is dark outside. I made 35 images of paraffin with one or more fuses in it.

On the presentation evening one by one people came in the big space, and also one by one I put fire on the images, some were burning 10 minutes others 10 hours.
